Threats to the EcoSystem

Logging is one of the biggest contributers to deforestation, because the demand for log and charcoal is very high. Nearly 23,000 trees a month are cut down. Soy bean farming is another contributer, Brazil is the second largest global producer of soy beans, which means they have to expand their land by clearing forest land for crops.

Trapping animals so the animals that eat those die.

Forest Fires. Cattle ranching is also a prime cause of deforestation, with it expanding quickly across Brazil.

Importance of the Ecosystem

A rainforest is one of the biggest producers of oxygen. They can also hold lots of fruit only native to a specific rainforest. They can also soak up a lot of water, like in a flood, and release it slowly.

Conservation Plan

To help Conserve our rain forests we can do many things to reduce the rate of deforestation. One of the things people are doing now. First, making national forests, and nature reserves. These protect the areas fully, and that has cut deforestation by nearly 50%.
